Episode 03: Spark DEI in Sports with Elladj Baldé

Révolutionnaire co-founders Justice + Nia guest co-host this special Be Revolutionary episode of Spark by Révolutionnaire with special guest Elladj Baldé. The three have a conversation about the importance of DEI and mental health in sports as well as the impacts of climate change and the work of Elladj’s organization: Skate Global Foundation. As a Canadian figure skating veteran with over 15 years of competitive experience on the world stage, he is now one of the most sought-after professional skaters in the world today. Elladj remains the first Black male figure skater to join the cast of Stars on Ice Canada, and the first Black skater, male or female, to join since 1992. Elladj hopes young BIPOC skaters can look to him to feel like there is a place for them on the ice. Wade world.

Havillyn currently serves as a Biden-Harris adminisration appointee and has interned for former Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi and Senator Cory Booker. Havillyn, Jaden, Carly, and Brandon discuss the transition from school into adult life, what prepred them for adulting, their fears about the future, and how they navigate the challenges that adulting presents from learning to do taxes to managing relationships and finding jobs. 

Episode 07: Spark Accessibility with Taylor Lindsay-Noel

Révolutionnaire co-founders Justice + Nia guest co-host this special Be Revolutionary episode of Spark by Révolutionnaire with special guest Taylor Lindsay Noel. The three have a conversation about the importance of inclusivity and accessibility as well as the work of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Centre. Taylor Lindsay-Noel is revolutionary. 15 years ago, she was a Canadian national gymnast, but under the coercion of her coach, she had a devastating accident that instantly paralyzed her from the neck down for life. Despite this setback, she persevered, and today, Taylor is not only the founder of the tea company Cup of Té but also a motivational speaker, accessibility advocate (@accessbytay) and proud board member of the Holland Bloorview Foundation.
